Newfoundland Heat Pump Rebates
Newfoundland does not have any heat pump rebates, but you can secure financing for your heat pump project through the Newfoundland Power Energy Efficiency Loan Program. This program is available for homes whose primary heat source is electric, and the maximum financing amount is $10,000.

Nova Scotia Heat Pump Rebates
There are several financing options and rebate options available in Nova Scotia:
Efficiency Nova Scotia offers a rebate with on the cost per ton of installing a geothermal or air source heat pump through their Green Heat program. Certain heat pumps must meet efficiency requirements and be installed by a HRAI/IGSHPA Certified contractor and/or Certified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician.

New Brunswick Heat Pump Rebates
NB Power’s Total Home Energy Savings Program currently offers rebates for existing homes of $2,000 on geothermal heat pumps. The total rebate amount depends on whether you perform other home efficiency upgrades at the same time. The heat pumps must be ENERGY STAR certified and must be installed by a HRAI/IGSHPA certified contractor.
For new homes, NB Power’s New Home Energy Savings Program offers incentives for new construction homes that allow you to save up to 25% of your mortgage loan insurance through CMHC, Genworth Canada, and Canada Guaranty.
Quebec Heat Pump Rebates
Hydro-Quebec supports the installation of heat pumps with a certified installer . Receive financial assistance of up to $6720 when purchasing an eligible heat pump in Quebec.

Ontario Heat Pump Rebates
Ontario Energy Rebates offers up to $7800 when installing an ENERGY STAR certified air source, ground source or domestic hot water heat pump. Installations must be done by a certified technician with a HRAI/IGHSPA certification.

Manitoba Heat Pump Rebates
EfficiencyMB offers rebates for air source and ground source heat pumps. Receive up to $1.65 per square foot when installing an air source heat up, or receive up to $2.50 per square foot when installing a ground source heat pump.
For ground source it must be installed be an accredited installer with good standing Manitoba Geothermal Energy Alliance (MGEA) list of installers.
For air source the installer must employ a refrigeration mechanic licensed in Manitoba and be an EM registered ASHP supplier.

Saskatchewan Heat Pump Rebates
There are no current rebates or incentives for geothermal heat pumps in Saskatchewan.
Alberta Heat Pump Rebates
The Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) which is considered a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) style program is designed to help homeowners afford to upgrade their homes to be more efficient. The costs of the upgrades are recovered through the homeowners property taxes, which can be paid off at any time. This program is available for residential and commercial properties.

British Columbia Heat Pump Rebates
CleanBC, BC Hydro and FortisBC are offering up to $6,000 in rebates when installing a heat pump in your home. If you are replacing a natural gas, propane or oil with a heat pump, you can receive up to $6,000. If you are upgrading from electric or wood to a heat pump, you can receive up to $2,000 in rebates.

Interested in our Air to Water (ATW) units? BC offers rebates as well of up to $3,000 when upgrading from oil, propane or natural gas. Homeowners located north of and including the District of 100 Mile House that are connected with BC Hydro are eligible of up to $6,000 in rebates.

Heat Pump Rebates and Tax Credits in the United States
Federal Government
The United States Federal Government offers a 30% tax credit on installations of residential ground source heat pumps until December 31, 2032.
